 We are the people from different spheres of life. We are from all aspects of profession be it IT, Research, Corporate Sector, Government Employees, College Students, Housewife and all others, with a sole and ultimate goal in mind of spreading culture to the next generation and creating awareness in native Uttarakhandis.
- This domain hopes to provide a podium for classical and traditional folk music lovers of Uttarakhand.
- This would be the right place to exchange mutual interest and euphoria of folk music. Core members are trying their best to spread the melody of folk music through stage shows and through various awareness programs.
Activities of g-troupe were started right from the day, troupe was inaugurated, the live performance by next generation Uttarakhandis was highly appreciated by experts. |

Charuda's speech made us aware about recent development in uttarakhand and he also explained about govt policies and about migration which is still not stopped, about 150000 houses are locked, no body wants to stay there.. and there is a danger of demographic change in uttarakhand bcoz native people are leaving pahad and mafia businessman, ... are coming towards pahad they are buying land , exploiting resources, illegally capturing land......and disturbing the ecology, economy, culture there... Troupe also published a book to preserve and promote our regional phrases. In this context our president Shri. Dayal Pandey had compiled a book which we have launched in 25 Nov. in nainital named "UTTARAKHAND KI LOKOKTIYAN EyWAM MUHAVARE". We highly acknowledge Shri. To spread awareness among youngsters on folk music and folk instruments we have organized one interaction and cultural session at Dakshin Puri New Delhi during Uttarakhandi Ramleela on 28 September 2006. We received an enormous and electrifying response from next generation guys and gals. Later personal discussions were continued through phone or mail. On demand our member Shri Hem Pant ji started a Pahari Dictionary and Lyrics of Famous Uttaranchali songs at Orkut, wherein members have provided more than 500 garhwali/kumaoni words with English and Hindi translation along with lyrics of few famous folk songs.
