Creative Uttarakhand-Myor Pahad has organized a seminar on "Globalization and challenges to ethnic values and tradition”
Event started as rally from Tallital to ATI (3 Km) with famous song “Jainta ek din to Aloo wu din yo duni mai…” of Shri Girish Tiwari’s (Girda), a promienend writer, poet and thinker of Uttarakhand Around 12:30 the group started up with the welcome of our all delegates. GirDa accompanied by other delegates enlighten the lamp followed by his blessing to youngsters. We could see the same high energy, excitement and pace in his voice. He started his talk with heart touching poem “Dhunga becha Maat becho, bechi hai bajani….”
After reaching ATI the programme was started with the deep prajwalan ceremony by Dr. Rajeev Rawat (Foreign delegate from Canada), Dr. Shemsher Singh Bisht (Activist), Dr. Shekhar Pathak (Prof history and Nehru Fellow), Dr. P.C. Tiwari(famous Activist and Journalist ), Dr Narayan Sing Jantwal (MLA Nainital), Shri Pushpesh Tripathi (MLA Dwarahat), Shri Rajeev Lochan Sah (Editor Nainital Samachar), Shri Jahoor Alam(Director Yugmanch), Shri Pratap Sahi (Activist), Shri B. B. Joshi (Formar PA to Finance Minister). All the delegates have delivered excellent lectures on the topic and shared their views.
Simultaneously the group also launched its Folk Album called “Myor Pahad”, in which all songs were sang by the group members only and a book on Uttarankhandi Phrases. CU has also launched its website on that day only. A culture programme was also presented by the members. Shri Charu Tewari Ji brilliantly managed the sequence of talks and folk songs/dance performed by Myor Pahad members
