We Uttaranchalis have a strong connection with Indian Defence Forces with a great history. Almost everyone of us has at least one member in our family who is either working to secure our country or has done that. In fact army has always been a big source of employment in uttaranchal. Our hard work , bravery and uncomfortable geographical conditions, where we live make us a good choice to be
selected to in army. Our people have been working in every stages of
army. Uttaranchal has produced a Chief of army Staff as our own Mr.
Bipin Chandra Joshi.
We have two regiments – Kumaon Regiment & Garhwal Rifle Presenting
both regions of our Uttaranchal & making us proud. |
